Stores Team
The Stores Team is responsible for material shipping, receiving, storage, delivery and ensuring sufficient stock of stores materials are available for immediate purchase from the Stores Warehouse.
The Stores Warehouse is located on the north side of Franklin Blvd across the Mill Race Bridge on Onyx Street into the Facilities Services compound. The Stores Team primarily serves Facilities Services employees, but does have numerous campus customers that benefit from the services offered. The Stores Team serves two specific groups of customers: Facilities Services Staff and Other Campus Departments. Please access the services that are offered by the Stores Team as Facilities Services (FS) Staff or Other Campus Departments (OCD).
Receiving for Facilities Services Staff:
The Stores Team receives all materials ordered through the Purchasing Team at Facilities Services. A pick-up route to local vendors is performed daily by the Stores Team. Emergency pick-ups will be performed by the Stores Team as directed by the Purchasing Team. Please contact us for more information.
Receiving for Other Campus Departments:
The Stores Team can receive shipments for Other Campus Departments upon request. Please contact the Stores Team to arrange for receipt of your materials a minimum of 5 business days in advance. The Stores Team will make every effort to accommodate Other Campus Departments with receipt of materials, however Facilities Services shipments will be prioritized above Other Campus Departments. In order for proper receiving the shipping label should indicate:
- Campus department
- Campus department point of contact with phone information
Shipping for Facilities Services Staff:
The Stores Team will ship all Facilities Services materials via the University of Oregon Mail Services. Please bring your materials for packaging and shipment to the Stores Warehouse with:
- Correct shipping address with points of contact
- Return address (if other than Facilities Services)
- Requestor's name
- Special instructions
- Value of the material for insurance
Facilities Services utilizes the University of Oregon Mail Services, UPS, Federal Express, and other freight companies for shipping of materials. Please see the University of Oregon Mail Services for more information on shipping materials from the University of Oregon.
Shipping for Other Campus Departments:
The Stores Team can do special shipping of materials for Other Campus Departments upon request. Generally, the Stores Team assists with the shipment of warranty or guarantee returns. Please contact the Stores Team to arrange for shipping and have the following information available:
- Correct shipping address with points of contact including contact information
- Return address for your department
- Requestor’s name and contact information
- Special instructions
- Value of the material for insurance
- Weight of materials to be shipped
- Departmental Index for shipping charges
- Freight company information if necessary
The Stores Team will pack all materials per shipping requirements. The Stores Team can provide limited pick-up services for materials requiring shipment. Please contact the Stores Team for more information and to make arrangements. The Stores Team utilizes the University of Oregon Mail Services, UPS, Federal Express, and other freight companies for shipping of materials. The Stores Team operates the Stores Warehouse in the Facilities Services compound.

Facilities Services Staff can access the Stores Warehouse during normal business hours. 7:30 am – 11:45am and 12:30 pm – 3:45 pm Facilities Services Staff may make purchases from the Stores Warehouse with a valid work order. The Stores Warehouse carries a limited supply of commodities (see Materials Storage link). Please contact the Stores Team for more information.

Other Campus Departments can access the Stores Warehouse during normal business hours. 7:30 am – 11:45am and 12:30 pm – 3:45 pm Other Campus Departments must bring their Departmental Index at the first visit. A Stores Team member will assist the customer with opening a work order for purchases in the Stores Warehouse with Facilities Services Customer Service. The work order will be open for no longer than the last day of the fiscal year, ending June 30th each year. Other Campus Departmental work orders will be kept in the Work Order binder in the Stores Warehouse for future purchases within the fiscal year. Delivery for Facilities Services Staff:
The Stores Team offers a delivery service for materials received or carried as stores stock in the Stores Warehouse. Delivery options includes:
- On-site delivery with prior arrangement
- Emergency on-site delivery
- Issue Request delivery

Delivery for Other Campus Departments:
The Stores Team has limited ability to deliver items received for Other Campus Departments. Delivery arrangements must be made with the Stores Team and 5 business day advanced notice is preferred.

- Emergency on-site delivery

Materials Storage
The Stores Team can store materials for limited durations of time. Materials storage at the Facilities Services Stores Warehouse applies to Facilities Services Staff and Other Campus Departments. The Stores Warehouse is not a long-term storage option for materials. Long-term storage is any storage requirement that exceed 6 months or 180 days. Long-term storage should be arranged with Facilities Services Central Support. Arrangements for storage must be made with the Stores Team. Prearranging storage is encouraged. The first 30 days of storage will be included in the receiving services provided by the Stores Team. After 30 days of storage the materials requester / owner will be required to provide a work order for labor in managing the movement of the stored materials in the Stores Warehouse.
