Diversity at Campus Operations

In accordance with the University’s Mission Statement and Campus Operations Diversity Plan, Our vision is to ensure the creation and maintenance of a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees that enable us to meet the challenges of working in a diverse and Multicultural educational environment.

Mission

The purpose of the Campus Operations Diversity Committee is to oversee the implementation of the Campus Operation Diversity Action Plan; to provide leadership and support to the Facilities Managerial Team toward fulfillment of Campus Operations Diversity goals outlined in Campus Operations Diversity Action Plan and to monitor Facilities Services progress toward these goals.

The Diversity Committee will fulfill this charge through the following Means:

  1. Consult with the Managerial Team and other appropriate groups to coordinate responsibility for goals and activities
  2. Communicate regularly with Staff and other appropriate groups to monitor and report progress toward goals
  3. Meet quarterly with George Hecht (Associate Vice president of Campus Operation) to report on activities and progress toward Campus Operations Plan goals
  4. Collaborate with the office of Institutional Equity and Diversity to identify appropriate diversity-related training opportunities for Campus Operation Employees.
