Floor and Carpet Care
Carpets and floors are cleaned, stripped and waxed throughout campus. If you would like to request carpet cleaning or special floor care you can request by e mail at janitor@.uoregon.edu or call our office at 346-2316. Please include your name, phone number, building, and room number.
Starting this year we have made a commitment to change over to green cleaning products. We are now starting to use green products for general cleaning purposes and for carpet cleaning. We will need to continue to use harsh chemicals for striping and waxing floors. Most waxes are acrylic and it takes a harsher chemical to cut through.
Chemicals are an important part of keeping and maintaining our floors. We understand that many people are highly sensitive to chemicals and the chemical fumes. If you have any concerns about the chemicals, please consult the MSDS's or contact our office at 346-2316.
