Professional Background

Steve Pelkey has worked at Facilities Services since 1990, originally being hired to manage the asbestos program.  Later he was promoted to Facilities Services Safety Manager while continuing to manage the University Asbestos Program.  He has since been given the responsibility of managing off-campus facilities, including the Baker Downtown Center, the Romania Building, the Tree Tops Estate (Chancellor's Residence), and the McMorran House (President's Residence).  Steve maintains certifications and licenses in Safety, Asbestos, and Facility Management.
