SUBJECT: Annual Campus-Wide Electrical Shutdown


On Sunday, September 9, 2007 Facilities Services and the campus Central Power Station will be performing necessary maintenance to the campus high-voltage electrical distribution system.

All campus buildings, except for those few that receive their power directly from EWEB, will be without electrical power intermittently throughout the day from 7:30am - 4:00pm. Each outage will 15 minutes or less. The campus emergency backup power system will experience only one 10-15 second outage.

Please avoid scheduling any work or special events on September 9th. Facilities Services will supply emergency generator power as needed for critical research. However, all other requests for generator supplied power will be billed to the department. COntact Del McGee, 6-5387 no later than August 22nd if emergency generators are required.

A copy of this notice will be sent by campus mail at the end of August. If you have any questions, please contact Del McGee, Central Power Station electrician, ext. 6-5387 or Debbie Cadigan, Campus Relations Manager at 6-2389.
